This is a banana muffin. Banana muffins are delicious. I could eat a banana muffin everyday. You would too if you live next door to a delicious cafe that sell banana muffins for 3.50 zl. I was going to write an entire blog dedicated strictly to banana muffins but I decided it would be better to talk about my favorite lunch place in Krakow instead!

Erik and I have started obsessing over our local cafe at ul. Lea 18. It is called

Kuchnia Otwarta

 - or Open Kitchen in English. It has what looks like a small menu but a ton of flavor - now that's a promise! I mean where else in Krakow (besides Moment's temporary menu) can you find American pancakes on a menu!? Yes, American pancakes in Poland! With syrup and cinnamon, nomnomnom. Oh and for only 4.50 zl!As for actual lunch foods, there are burgers, chili, soup of the day, or tortillas. Everything is healthy (besides maybe the delicious syrup soaked pancake) and made fresh. The burgers are even 100% beef which, if you read my previous blog post, you'd learn is rather rare in Poland.

My favorite thing on the menu besides my beloved banana muffin is the huevos rancheros tortilla. Scrumptious beans, eggs dripping out the sides, a side of potato slices - ohm nom nom.

As for the decor, there are sheep, cows, and pigs drawn on the wall. You know a place is cool if it has sheep. Obviously. And the cow is Cow from Cow and Chicken. That should be enough to encourage you to visit. Just don't visit during my lunch time because I don't want competition for the muffins.

Okay, so if the best I can get out of my mouth is an "ohm nom nom" then it is evident that I'm not a food blogger. I absolutely love food though so if that is the best I can do, you're just going to have to get off your ass and go try what I'm talking about for yourself! Check out some of the things we ate in the pictures below!
